An Online MBA for Active Military and Veterans

If you are an active military member or a military veteran, you will be glad to know that Pittsburg State University (PSU) is a proud Servicemembers Opportunity College (SOC). We don’t just say we’re military-friendly — we show it. We are also ranked in the top 100 Military & Spouse-Friendly Universities.

PSU offers six MBA online programs, including a general management MBA and five concentrations in high-paying, high-demand fields. These concentrations align with many of G.I. Jobs Top 25 Hot Jobs for Veterans.

What this means to you as an MBA candidate is twofold:

  1. You will benefit from the focus and accommodations PSU makes to show gratitude to active military members and veterans.
  2. You will benefit from the program’s content and structure, which are particularly relevant and useful as you move forward in your career.

SOC Is Committed to Your Future

The purpose of this organization of schools is to improve service members’ lifelong career outcomes by connecting them with quality credentials aligned with high-growth fields. To this end, it has initiated a joint planning effort to align work with the strategic vision and mission of the Department of Defense (DoD) Voluntary Education strategic priorities. The latter’s mission states: “Champion policies, programs and partnerships that enable access to high quality post-secondary education opportunities, empower informed Service member decision making, shape meaningful personal and professional pathways, and drive military-student success in higher education.”

The PSU online MBA programs have been developed with military members and veterans in mind. Our programs close the skills and knowledge gaps between what you learned in the military and what you will need to transition into a high-growth, high-demand field. Not only do you benefit from this program, but SOCs also serve as talent pipelines to employers with projected talent gaps in key positions. Knowing which universities are part of this program enables you to make a strong academic decision that will best prepare you to achieve your career ambitions.

You are eligible for VA educational benefits as an online PSU student. Our benefits, depending on your particular eligibility, include military tuition assistance and the VA Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) program. This helps with job training, employment accommodations, resume development and job-seeking skills coaching.

The Online MBA Format Is Ideally Suited to Your Needs

Pittsburg State University’s online MBA programs are accelerated so you can complete your program in as few as 12 months. They are also flexible, allowing you to work around your schedule as you balance military or professional obligations with personal and academic obligations. Because the program is 100 percent online, you can access course content and materials from any internet-enabled device at any time. You can do some reading during your lunch break at work on your smartphone, or you can complete an assignment at night in your kitchen using a tablet or laptop.

Never in the history of military service has our government collaborated so well with universities to produce educational programs that ensure a smooth and successful transition from military to civilian life. At PSU, we are proud to serve our military members and veterans as part of this new and growing tradition.
