I have served as the CFO of a nonprofit organization, a senior accountant for a publicly traded company, and as a bank president. I hold a CPA designation and have founded multiple businesses, including a consulting firm, a real estate company, and an automotive dealership. I continue to oversee these enterprises while teaching, and I believe the breadth of my real-world experience adds meaningful value to the classroom.

What do you want students to take away from your classes? What do they learn?
Students should be able to apply management and accounting concepts to an enterprise they are familiar with. This approach personalizes the learning experience, enhances their effectiveness in their current roles, and strengthens their prospects for future career opportunities.
What types of projects do your students do in the online courses?
Students will select an enterprise of their choice and apply management and managerial accounting concepts to gain insights not previously realized. They will also engage in discussions with peers from other disciplines to gain unique perspectives on these concepts and understand how they are applied across different types of organizations
What advice would you give to those considering your online program?
The key to succeeding as an online student is maintaining self-motivation and staying current with coursework. The material is not overly difficult, but it can be detailed and requires consistent engagement. It is important to understand all deadlines and, above all, approach the course with a commitment to learning and connecting with your classmates.
What is the value of a higher degree in the field in which you teach? What are some of the skills students gain in this program?
A graduate degree deepens technical expertise, sharpens analytical skills, and strengthens leadership abilities—competencies that are increasingly vital in today’s rapidly evolving business environment. It also positions graduates for advanced roles and expanded opportunities within their chosen field.

I enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities, and I’m an avid motorcyclist and bodybuilder. I’m often told these interests are not typical for an accountant, which makes them all the more enjoyable.
