Interviewed the late comedian Bob Newhart for New Accountant. Known for his roles in “The Big Bang Theory” TV series and “Elf,” Newhart was an accountant before launching his career in entertainment. Taught a financial statement analysis course in Road Town, Tortola, BVI. Received the Missouri Governor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) Regional Teaching Excellence Award. Developed and presented numerous ethics CPE seminars. Published a poem on ethics in the Journal of Business Administration Online (JBAO).

What do you want students to take away from your classes? What do they learn?
That not all accounting solutions are black and white. Accounting is a dynamic field that is constantly changing.
What types of projects do your students do in the online courses?
Students have to review and analyze real financial statements of organizations.
What advice would you give to those considering your online program?
Pitt State's online business graduate programs give you the technical skills required to analyze and resolve almost any business problems that arise during your career.
What is the value of a higher degree in the field in which you teach? What are some of the skills students gain in this program?
Earning a graduate degree gives you a step ahead of people competing for the same career positions. You will be better prepared to solve the complex problems that you will face in your business career.

The Bible – It has the answer to all of life's problems, including business and accounting.

My wife and I have traveled to all 50 states together as well as several other countries.
